Terre Nere Bianco

Overview

The estate is located in Sicily on the northern slopes of the volcano, Mount Etna.  This area is historically recognized as the finest in the appellation for fine red wines.   Due to 500,000 years of volcanic eruptions, the soil at Terre Nere is mostly volcanic ash with black pumice and abundant volcanic rock.  The extraordinary elevation yields dramatic temperature variations between night and day, making the wines of Etna fine and elegant.  Given these conditions the estates philosophy is simple. “A great team, a delicate hand, a heightened sensibility, and our ideals, drive us to give the best of ourselves in quest for the ideal bond between what nature gives us and that which our sensitivity, experience and imagination suggest.”   Made from old vines (25-60yrs old) of Carricante, Catarratto, Grecanico, Inzolia, and Minnella A very complex wine with a unique flavor profile.  Enjoy  exploring the many nuances with each sip!
