Rutherford Hill Barrel Select

Overview

Antonio Galloni  says “Fans of Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon will find a lot to get excited about with the 2010 vintage. The 2010s are magnificent, viscerally thrilling wines loaded with character and personality.”
The grape growers who founded Rutherford Hill carefully studied the geography of the region and capitalized on climate and soil conditions that resembled those of Pomerol, the small but distinctive Merlot-growing region of Bordeaux. What a promising discovery that was - one that was borne plenty of fruit - specifically, the lush, purple-black grapes that have contributed so much to Rutherford Hill’s success.
The Rutherford Hill Barrel Select showcases excellent wine coming out of this vintage. Crafted with Bordeaux varietals that show aromatic red fruits cherry, raspberry, plum, cocoa, and dark chocolate complimented with a hint of spice.  With 16 months in French oak this wine has excellent structure, complexity, and concentration to balance the warm Napa fruit.  With 5 years in bottle this is a great opportunity to enjoy this wine as the character shows beautifully!
