Scarpetta Wines was born from the friendship and culinary partnership between Master Sommelier Bobby Stuckey and chef Lachlan Mackinnon-Patterson, celebrated figures in both the American and Italian culinary landscapes. Their journey began in the early 2000s when they worked together at The French Laundry in California and later opened their own acclaimed restaurant, Frasca Food and Wine, in Boulder, Colorado. Frasca, inspired by the traditional Friulian farmhouse tavern, became a haven for lovers of Italian food and wine, particularly those of Friuli.
Scarpetta’s portfolio is a testament to the unique terroir of Friuli, a region known for its cool climate, mineral-rich soils, and centuries-old winemaking heritage.
