Salento IGT is one of the most commonly used IGT titles in Puglia, southern Italy. It covers the Salento, the limestone based peninsula that divides the Adriatic Sea from the Ionian Sea and forms the heel of Italy. Verdeca is a rare white grape that is almost exclusively grown in the Puglia region. The uniqueness of the wine starts with the label and continues into the glass to provide a truly unique wine experience. If ever there was a wine that was made for seafood dishes, this is it.
On the nose, aromas of hawthorn and acacia, cedar and yellow grapefruit accompanied by mineral and saline notes. On the palate, fresh and savory with citrus aftertaste along with white blossoms persisting on the finish.
