While deciding what to name the shop, Frank and Joe happened to be drinking a glass of this wine made from the Corvina grape. The rest is history! The word "scaia" means a chip of stone, chalk, limestone. Thus, the name of the wine is a tribute to the soil of the Veneto region. The owners and winemakers of Scaia are brothers and grew up in the vineyards of the Veneto region. The vineyards lie on a ridge of hills close to the Alps. The wines are made to drink young and focus on the truest expression of the Corvina grape.
Aroma: floral aroma of red roses and pansies, fruity aroma of cherries, sour cherries, plums, greengages, woodland berries such as blackberries, redcurrants and blackcurrants, raspberries. Flavour: well balanced, tangy and fresh. Intense and with a good body despite its young lightness
