Felsina Chianti Colli Senesi

Felsina continues to be the model of consistency for Tuscan wines.  The vineyards are located in the southeastern part of the Chianti Classico appellation.   Chianti Classico vineyards are at higher altitudes, which slow the ripening of the grapes thus producing wines with greater acidity and more herbal aromas.  These wines, pursuant to the regions' wine laws, must be aged for 12 months before they are released onto the market.

Tasting Notes

A seductive nose of plums, wild raspberries, fresh cherries, sage, pine cones, white pepper and musk. Medium-bodied with finely knit tannins. Creamy and soft finish.  Cedar, tobacco, leather, dried herbs also show up in the glass and on the nose to provide a well balanced and complex offering.
